Our History

La Fortuna Market has a long history within the Lincoln Heights community. Its origins trace back to the vision and efforts of Mrs. Antonia Grijalva and Mr. Manuel Grijalva, who established a neighborhood market offering a wide variety of essential products for local families, including meats, dairy products, fruits, vegetables, beverages, tortillas, eggs, cheeses, and other daily necessities.
 
Over the years, the business passed through different administrations while remaining a vital hub for the community. Eventually, La Fortuna Market came under the ownership of its current proprietor, who continues the commitment to serving residents with dedication, respect, and a personal touch.
 
Today, La Fortuna Market remains a neighborhood gathering place. In addition to providing everyday essentials and friendly service, it actively participates in community initiatives, supports local entrepreneurs, and promotes activities that strengthen the neighborhood’s well being and economic growth. La Fortuna Market embodies the perseverance and community spirit that have defined Lincoln Heights for generations.
